Brief summary on how to use for students:  This book can be used in order to show that you can be American but still be a different ethnicity. Use in the classroom in order to show the girl students that you can be Korean but still be American, or any other ethnicity.
Summary: Clara Lee is a Korean American girl who wants to try out for her towns local Little Miss Apple Pie. After a bad dream, her whole day turns into good luck. In Korean culture, if you have a bad dream it usually means good luck will be coming. She realizes that it is not all about having luck or not but by being you. In the end she wins the Little Miss Apple Pie and wears a hanbok which is the Korean traditional dress and shows that it is okay to be a different ethnicity and still be am American.
