Brief summary on how to use for students:  This book can be used in order to show that it is not right to bully a person because of their ethnicity. Can use in the classroom to also teach the students how to learn new Spanish words. There are several Spanish words throughout the book.
Summary: Gabi’ is a Puerto Rican girl who gets teased by a boy Johnny Wiley in her class. Mr. Fine has to break the two students up after she stomps on his foot with her favorite red boots. Her grandma, aunt and uncle come to visit her family. Gabi’ gets set up in a group with her enemy Johnny Wiley. By the end she gets to explain her name and a frog from her country which helped bond Johnny and Gabi’.
